On Thursday, August 20, we celebrate our biggest event of the year, A Taste of Summer, at Aqua at the Providence Marriott. Thanks to the hard work, dedication and generosity of so many people, it was also one of our most successful events ever! Over 200 people attended and helped us raise over $9,000 to reduce diaper need in Rhode Island. Eight local food vendors – The Capital Grille, The Duck & Bunny, Trinity Brewhouse, La Creperie, The Backyard Food Company, Sicilia’s Pizzeria, Wes’ Rib House, and, of course, Aqua – delighted our guests with their best tastes of summer while local musicians Travis Colby and Doug Woolverton provided the jazzy soundtrack. Plus, we had lots of great silent auction items, a photo booth, a step-and-repeat courtesy of BORI Graphix, raffles, beautiful flowers from Golden Gate Studios, photography by Terace Greene and more.
