DSC_0610Representatives from community action partnerships and social service agencies throughout the state gathered with the Project Undercover board of directors in March for our annual Partners Meeting. We make a special effort every spring to gather our partner agencies and ask for their feedback. This kind of collaboration makes all of us more effective in our mission to serve families in need. For example, we began distributing baby wipes in addition to diapers precisely because of feedback we received at a past Partners Meeting.

These are the folks on the front lines every day, working with families living in poverty in every community throughout Rhode Island. With their help we were able to distribute roughly 400,000 diapers and 140,000 pairs of children’s socks and underwear last year and we’ll do even more this year. We can’t thank these people and organizations enough for their selfless dedication to Rhode Island’s less fortunate citizens. Attendees included representatives from the DaVinci Center, Tri-Town Community Action Agency, We Share Hope, Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center, Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center Progreso Latino, Mary House, Mount Hope Neighborhood Association, RI Parent Information Network, East Bay Community Action Program, Community Action Partnership of Providence, and more.
